The chasen is a traditional tea whisk usually made from bamboo and has curved ridges that help to froth up matcha powdered green tea. Tenga has drawn inspiration from this design and have created a new range of vibrators called Iroha Zen.
Tenga says that, Iroha's goal of providing a "gentle and comfortable self pleasure experience" aligned perfectly with the calming zen-like experience of a Japanese tea ceremony.
The product has a strange appeal, which is exactly what Tenga were going for, after they conducted a survey that revealed 63% of women had never used a pleasure item before.
The Iroha Zen range was created to attract first time users with it's calm, gentle appeal.
